RFID Self Check-in/ Check-out kiosk Inaugrated By IIM K Director

On 24 August RFID Self Check-in/ Check-out kiosk was Inaugurated By IIM K Director, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee.  Users can use the Kiosk to issue/return/renew the library book/s by themselves. Users carry their RFID ID cards to make use of this service. They will receive an email for every issue/return/renew transaction on their institute email ID.  After the issue or renewal of books using the Kiosk, a print receipt will be issued at the Kiosk, which they need to give at the security desk while leaving the library. Internship @ IIM-K

On August 10, 2022, we arrived at the IIMK Library to begin our internship. We felt confident in our choice because of the friendly greeting we received from every member of staff and the librarian, Dr. Appasaheb Naikal, who truly wants to see us learn. After being greeted warmly on the first day, we were instructed to explore the library and see its resources and facilities. The Nalanda library at IIMK has approximately 85 percent of its resources in digital format, making it one of the leaders in this field. Books are organised in a user-friendly manner by labelling the shelves and classified according to UDC. We are placed in the circulation area for the first several days, where we get familiarity with its functions. I'm looking forward to the remaining days here and the useful information we will learn from Nalanda, the IIMK Library.
